100% Whole Wheat Bread for Bread Machines

Many people prefer a hearty loaf of 100% whole wheat bread. Especially when the main ingredient is 100% stone ground, high protein, hard red wheat flour. Quite simply, there is no flour better for bread baking than this flour from Bob's Red Mill Natural Foods. The bran, germ and fiber blend with the endosperm to make a bread of true integrity. Here is Bob's favorite recipe:

Small Loaf (1 lb) Ingredients Large Loaf (1/1/2 lb)
1 cup Water 1-1/2 cups + 2 Tbsp
2-1/2 cups Whole Wheat Flour 3-3/4 cups
1 1/4 Tbsp Dry Milk Powder 2 Tbsp
1 tsp Salt 1-1/2 tsp
1-1/2 Tbsp Canola Oil 2 Tbsp
1-1/4 Tbsp Sugar 2 Tbsp
1 Tbsp Gluten 1-1/2 Tbsp
2 tsp Molasses 1 Tbsp
2 tsp Active Dry Yeast 3 tsp

Add all ingredients in the order suggested by your bread machine manual and process on the basic bread cycle according to the manufacturer's directions. Let the loaf cool for 15 minutes before slicing.
