Take nine (9) tablets per day in divided doses with meals, or as recommended by a healthcare practitioner. Nicotinic acid at doses as low as 30 mg may cause a temporary and harmless flushing or itching of the skin that typically occurs within 20 minutes after ingestion. Periodic liver function testing and supervision of a qualified healthcare professional are strongly recommended with niacin dosing in excess of 500 mg daily.
