Raw Material Source: Seagate gs their carrots and garlic in an isolated location near the Sierra foothills of Baja California. This land was formerly a cattle ranch that had never been exposed to chemicals or pesticides. The farm is irrigated with well water. Seagate has complete control over this product, from planting and ging their crops, to freeze-drying and grinding the powder contained in this bottle.
Convenience: Seagate recommends that this product be used as a supplement, not a replacement, for a balanced daily diet of fresh fruits and vegetables. However, there are times when access to fresh vegetables or a juicer is not possible. The low-temperature freeze-drying method employed by Seagate helps to preserve the delicate nutrient balance of these herbs as provided by Nature.
Combination of Carrot and Garlic: In 1998 when Seagate began ging and freeze-drying garlic, the plan was to produce a single-ingredient garlic product. However, Seagate garlic is not deodorized or chemically-treated. The garlic odor was so overwhelming, that it could not be encapsulated and bottled by itself. Seagate carrot powder was added to the capsules in order to help mask the garlic smell. It soon became apparent that not only does the carrot help reduce the smell, but it also provides a source of Vitamin A and over 400 different carotenes including alpha and beta carotene.
